Corridor House was designed as a modern single family dwelling on a large parcel of land. As the name suggest, we designed the project around the central living spine, dubbed The Corridor.
The spine consist of a large living space on the ground floor and 3 bedrooms on the first floor, along with bathrooms. Off of this central corridor, at ground floor level, we designed a mother-in-law suite on one side and a music studio on the other.
As a very family oriented dwelling, the central living spine was also designed to open up, both in the front and rare of the home, to encourage natural ventilation, and to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor for family fun and entertaining guests.
